Traditional Tales Show

Schools across Devon have been echoing to the sound of laughing, cheering, clapping and singing as the Entertainingly Different duo of Rob Pudner and Dexter Newman have delighted both pupils and staff alike with their brand new performance piece.

The bespoke show can be tailored to the audience requirements by selecting from a number of  well known Traditional Tales including:

  • Little Red Riding Hood
  • Chicken Licken
  • Three Little Pigs
  • Hansel and Gretel
  • Little Johnny Cake/Gingerbread Man
  • ...and new tales are being developed all the time!

The performances combine storytelling, slapstick, song, dance and at times general silliness.
The performers (pictured above), known across the County and beyond for their expressive arts workshops and sessions, play all the parts with the help of a couple of puppets, an array of hats and costumes and lots of audience participation.

The shows have been devised by Rob and Dexter with supporting music and lyrics by Niki Davies (Copyright: Out of the Ark Music 2011).

Performances can be complimented by dramatic workshops and both workshops and performances are suitable for EYFS, Key Stage 1 and 2.

If you would like to see the show for yourself then you can catch it later this year at RHS Rosemoor (Near Great Torrington), the Dartmoor Folk Festival (South Zeal) or at the Beautiful Days Festival (Escot).  See the forthcoming events page for further details.
